M.A.I.O.R.  is an Italian IT company established in Italy in 1988 having its main offices in Lucca and Florence.

MAIOR provides solutions to manage, automate and optimize roster planning and management. MAIOR solutions cover all modes of public transport (buses, rail, metro, waterbuses) and also resource management for Airlines, Air Navigation Service Provider and Port Operator.

MAIOR history started in the early ‘70s within the Operations Research Group of the Pisa University.The company was established in 1988 with the aim of providing services and advanced software systems to Public Transport Authorities and Operators.

Today MAIOR employs about 50 people, first of all software developers with a degree in Computer Science.MAIOR has about 100 customers in Italy, including all major cities (Rome, Milan, Turin, Naples, Venice, Florence), eight customers in Germany, two in Austria and one in Spain, Finland, Ireland, Albania, Portugal.MAIOR provided the Rostering System for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.Watch us on www.maior.it.
